The 3rd International Symposium on Machine Learning in Quantum Chemistry (SMLQC)
We are pleased to announce that the 3rd edition of the SMLQC will take place from October 5 (Sunday) to October 7 (Tuesday), 2025, at the University of Tennessee campus in Knoxville, TN, USA. Knoxville, known for its proximity to the scenic Smoky Mountains, is conveniently accessible via daily flights from major airports throughout the Eastern and Central United States.
The integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning in quantum chemistry represents a rapidly evolving subfield within theoretical and computational chemistry, experiencing significant growth in both academic and industrial sectors over recent years. The first two symposia were successfully held in Xiamen, China (2021, virtual format, organized by Prof. Pavlo Dral) and Uppsala, Sweden (2023, organized by Prof. Roland Lindh), attracting distinguished researchers from around the globe. We are excited to host this upcoming meeting in the United States, facilitating a dynamic exchange of ideas within the international theoretical and computational chemistry community.
The conference will cover a range of themes, including but not limited to the advancement of novel quantum chemical methodologies enhanced by machine learning, the development of new machine learning techniques for modeling potential energy surfaces and molecular dynamics simulations, and the application of machine learning in the analysis of various physicochemical processes.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 3rd SMLQC!
